BASIC RIDERS COURSE (BRC)

 THE BASIC RIDERS COURSE 

(The cost of the BRC is $230)


THIS COURSE IS REQUIRED BY THE STATE OF FLORIDA TO OBTAIN A MOTORCYCLE ENDORSEMENT


  • This is a 2-day course
  • The Basic RiderCourse (BRC) teaches the basic mental and physical skills needed for riding a motorcycle in traffic. 
  • While the BRC is designed for beginning riders, experienced riders will learn something too. 
  • This course is required by the state of Florida to obtain a motorcycle endorsement. May also qualify for an insurance discount. The BRC is also accepted by other states as a test waiver.


In the BRC the student is required to:

  1. Complete  an on-line course prior to arriving at the training facility. (a link and instructions will  be provided upon confirmation of valid Drivers License or Learners Permit). Course will take about 5-10 hours to  complete, depending on the student. Student is not required to complete the course in one sitting.
  2. Pass a 25 question written knowledge test
  3. 11 hours of on and off motorcycle exercises, culminating in the riding test.

Must be able to  ride a bicycle

Must be physically capable to withstand the  elements for at least 5 hours

Must be able to walk at least 150 feet without stopping.

Advanced Riders Course (ARC)

The ARC      $120

Meets military level-2 training requirement


  A one-day course that complements your basic skills and helps with  personal risk assessment. It includes:

  •  a fast-paced classroom segment  with several fun interactive activities to improve perception and hazard  awareness. 
  • Range exercises enhance both basic operating skills and  crash-avoidance skills. Improving your braking and cornering finesse is  emphasized. 
  • The course is beneficial for riders on any type of street legal motorcycle.   


This Course may qualify student for a discount on their motorcycle insurance

Students are required to have completed the Basic Riders Course.

BASIC RIDERS COURSE-2 (BRC-2)

BRC-2    $100

Meets military level-2 training requirement


Designed for riders who already motorcycle license and  possess basic skills. (Prior completion of the BRC is recommended, but not required)


  • The goal of this course is to help you further  refine your motorcycle handling skills and grow your confidence in your  riding ability. Ideal participants are past BRC graduates looking to gain additional hands-on experience and refine  their riding skills.


  • The course consists of only riding exercises, utilizing several of the drills from the Basic RiderCourse with addition exercises to help a rider improve on their skills and become more comfortable on their own motorcycle.  


  • A skill test is an option and may be provided as a  self-assessment opportunity.

Course takes part of a day and is  taken on your own motorcycle. 

This course may qualify student for a discount on their motorcycle insurance.
